VIDEO: Chevrolet Camaro GT4 Rolls, and Rolls, and Rolls...

Dutch Supercar Challenge champion in the GT class 2010, Alex van 't Hoff, was involved in an unfortunate but rather spectacular to look at accident while racing his Chevrolet Camaro GT4 at the Circuit Park Zandvoort in The Netherlands.

We’re not sure how he lost control of the beefed up Camaro GT4 but in the video that follows after the break you can see what the result was. Despite the severity of the crash, Alex van 't Hoff came out of the car by himself, and from what we can tell, without suffering any injuries.

Alleged Dealer Employee Slams Ferrari 456 into an Oncoming Volkswagen Gol

A violent accident between a Ferrari 456 and a Volkswagen Gol that took place in Martinez, an affluent city located near the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires was caught on tape by a nearby security camera.

The video shows the blue Ferrari 456 after the driver lost control of the car as it heads slideways towards an oncoming Volkswagen Gol hatchback. The impact, as you can see for yourself in the security footage, is severe. Both drivers were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Although we could not confirm this, media reports from the country citing police sources state that the driver was not the owner of the car but a dealer employee who was taking the Italian supercar for its technical inspection.

VIDEO: That’s the Spirit…Drunk Russians Sink Infiniti FX35

Once you watch this video, we are pretty sure that you will think twice before saying the little kid running around like a twister throwing sand all over the place and the odd couple trying to learn how to play rackets are the most annoying things you have ever seen at the beach.

The apparently intoxicated owner of this black Infiniti FX along with his equally messed up friends went berserk on a Russian beach (or at least the person who uploaded the video on Youtube claims that the incident took place in Russia) and put everyone in danger including themselves when they drove the Japanese crossover into and out of the sea.

In their third attempt to show their pedigree to beach goers they managed to sink the Infiniti, which of course was flooded with sea water once the driver opened the door... Follow the break to watch the video for yourself.

Call of Duty: Turkish Police Officer Hangs on Hood of Drunk Driver’s Car

There are police officers and there are police officers. And if anything else, this officer of the law from Turkey that you’re about to see in the surveillance camera footage below shows that some people take their job far more seriously than others.

It all started when the man in blue attempted to stop a silver car but the driver ignored him and tried to take off but not before the cop threw himself onto the bonnet. The determined cop clasped onto the windscreen wipers for a 3 kilometer-long (about 2 miles) wild ride until the driver, who turned out to be intoxicated, hit another car and came to a stop. Fortunately, the officer suffered only minor injuries. Watch the footage after the jump.

Too Close for Comfort: Subaru Impreza WRX Flips Over Right in Front of Spectators in Canada

A fun track day at the Toronto Motorsports Park near the town of Cayuga in Ontario, Canada, almost turned tragic for both the driver and many of the spectators gathered behind the safety wall when an older generation Subaru Impreza WRX flipped over after exiting a corner.

From the video, it looks like the driver of the Impreza took the corner wider and faster than he was ready for and as a result crashed into, or rather ran over, the safety haystack near the wall, which acted as a launching ramp lifting the car into the air only inches away from the spectators. The car then landed on its rooftop several feet away.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the Subaru, who was wearing a helmet, was shaken but...not stirred. But enough talking already. Follow the break to watch both the incident as it happened and the aftermath.

U.S. Government Focusing in on Web Gadgets that Distract Drivers

We are all living in an age of networked information. Social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, smartphones and public internet access are making the world smaller every day. Unfortunately, in some instances all this information can distract us from the important things, such as focusing on driving. And no one agrees with this more than U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood:

“We know people are hooked on cellphones and texting devices. But there's absolutely no reason for any person to download their Facebook into the car. It's not necessary. "

And the Unluckiest Car in Britain is…the Honda FR-V

Well, the question and the answer have already been given to you in the title, so let us elaborate for a moment. A UK-based car insurance price comparison website called “Confused.com” conducted a study to find out which vehicle make and model had the highest accident rates in Britain in the last five years. The company notes that the statistics you’re about to read show only a snapshot of accident-related claims made by owners of a particular make and model of vehicle.

According to the results, the Honda FR-V, a compact 6-seater minivan marketed in Europe and Japan from 2004 to 2009, topped the list with 2,529 owners of the model making 466 accident claims in the past five years, which is equal to a claim rate of 18.4 per cent, or close to one in five.

Embarrassing Motorcycle Flip-Fail Caught on Tape

As this video proves, automobile drivers are not alone when it comes to dim-witted mistakes on the road. For unknown reasons, this particular motorcyclist was trying to manage the controls of the right handlebar of his high-performance bike with his left hand. And yes, as you may have already guessed, that’s a recipe for disaster.

Fortunately for the bike driver, the mishap occurred at low speeds and from the looks of it, he wasn’t hurt - at least not physically because his ego does seem a bit bruised… Click past the break to watch the amusing video clip.

Load Fail: Crashed Ferrari 355 Challenge Breaks free from Chains

Today’s video find takes us to Saint Gouéno in Bretagne, northwestern France, for an incident involving a Ferrari F355 Challenge racecar, which had crashed during a hill climb that took place in the area this past weekend.

We do not know how the race-spec Italian supercar ended up on its rooftop, but the film shows us what when on after that when a service truck arrived to pickup (literally) the Ferrari. As you can see in the video after the break, all goes well until the red F355 Challenge begins its ascent on the truck’s flatbed when all of a sudden it appears that the chain pulling the vehicle breaks and, well, it is not hard to imagine what happened next...

That’s gotta Hurt: The Great Moodini’s Racetrack Stunt Goes Terribly Wrong

An Atlanta magician’s trick stunt at the Atlanta Motor Speedway last Thursday went dreadfully wrong nearly costing him his life. Moodini was supposed to escape from the cuffs before the race car could pull away down the track. Read more »

Jump Fail: Can You Guess What Happens Next?

Here’s one jump that won’t buff out. For reasons beyond logic, the driver of a fairly new Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck decided to impress his buddies (and his….insurer) at a meet on the sand dunes of Silver Lake in Michigan, USA, by performing a high-speed jump stunt. The laws of physics pretty much explain what happens next.

If you're still wondering, follow the jump to watch the video and leave your comments below.

Hail Fail: BMW 5-Series Owner Tries to Save His Car by Dressing it Up…

Unless you are able drive into to an enclosed garage nearby, there’s not really much you can do to protect your car -or anything else in danger for that matter- if you are caught out in a severe hail storm. However, this doesn’t mean that some people won’t try to prevent the inevitable like this owner of a previous generation BMW 5-Series sedan.

Said to be a Croatian tourist on a visit to Slovenia, the owner of the Bimmer attempted to save the body of his beloved car by covering it up with whatever he could find. In this case, the only available items were some clothes he had in a plastic bag. Somehow, it doesn't seem like such a great idea... Watch the clip right after the break.

VIDEO: Giant Pothole on Bridge Swallows Lorry in China

We have all encountered them, but as with anything else in this life, there are potholes and there are potholes. The one that opened in the city of Changchun, which is the capital of China's Jilin province, is what you would call a supersized pothole, and to make matters worse, it occurred on a road bridge as a large lorry was passing over it.

The giant hole, which reportedly measured close to 50 feet long (about 15 meters) and 16-feet wide (around 15 meters), literally swallowed the commercial truck which then plunged down to the river. Chinese media reported that there were two men inside the lorry and that both were injured. Hit the jump for a video report of the incident.

Big Brother is Watching, Well, All of us: U.S. DoT Seeks to Make Event Data Recorders Mandatory

Australian inventor and all-round genius Dr David Warren is widely considered to be the father of the “black box” Flight Data Recorder (FDR). His invention helped make flying safer by giving investigators valuable insights into the mechanical goings-on of a crashed aircraft. What may surprise you is that for the last twenty years similar devices have been installed in our cars.

Event Data Recorders (EDRs) are the automotive equivalent of an aircraft’s FDR. These devices record acceleration and deceleration forces, engine RPM, temperature, oil pressure and a host of other things. After a crash, the information can be recovered and studied, aiding investigators.

FAIL: Ferrari 599 GTO in Reverse hits a Pole

Bumping into or even just scraping against an object while pulling you car out of a parking space has probably happened to everyone at least once or twice. However, you would expect an owner of a spanking new Ferrari 599 GTO worth north of €260,000 or close to $400,000 to be far more careful that usual when attempting to reverse out of a parking space. Apparently, being careful was not in the nature of the owner of this blacked out 599 GTO in Cologne, Germany. Video follows after the break. Read more »
